What I Eat To Get Shredded As A Vegan

What exactly do I eat to get shredded as a vegan? Where do I get my protein from? These are questions I get asked again and again and honestly I love filming these full day of eating videos - I feel like they’re super helpful because I am showing what I eat instead of just telling. I will go through everything I eat to give you a rough idea of the foods you can eat and where you can get protein from on a vegan diet.

Meal one

My first meal is honestly my FAVOURITE! I go to sleep every night looking forward to my meal in the morning. Maybe because I’ve been cutting for so long that my taste buds are super sensitive, but it honestly feels like a dessert. For my morning smoothie, I add in

250ml almond milk

2 tbsp peanut butter

50g protein oats

100g blueberries

20ml maple syrup

Plant-based protein powder

All of this combined makes such a delicious smoothie that I honestly cannot get enough of. And not to mention, filled with protein! (Macros/calories included in video down below)

Meal two

For this meal, I bought this plant-based chicken that I’ve tried once before and really liked which is made from wheat gluten. It tasted better than I remembered, and was absolutely amazing when mixed with white rice and veggies. I made a quick fried rice using 140g of the pb chicken, 370g cooked white rice and a handful of veggies to get in more volume. I seasoned this with chaat masala (which you can find in Indian stores and something I have been using in absolutely everything) and it tasted so good! Was such a filling meal, and topped with some sriracha sauce it was just perfect.

Meal 3

My last final meal I wanted more volume to really finish off my calories since I was feeling a bit hungrier. One of the best foods to get in volume that I have found is soup - especially red lentil soup! I added 4 cups of boiling water mixed with vegan beef stock, and added 1 cup of red lentils, 1 can of kidney beans, some frozen veggies and some curry powder and let it simmer for about 20 minutes until the entire thing became soupy. This was such a delicious meal and so filling with so much volume - if you are someone that feels hungrier on a cut then I highly recommend you to try adding more soups to your day. You can literally make soups out of anything, just use vegan beef stock.
